a5c7b9f00b Marcus Burnett is a hen-pecked family man. Mike Lowrey is more of a loose cannon. They are partners on the Miami Police Department, and they are about to take on a highly dangerous case. 100 million dollars in heroin, from the biggest drug bust of their careers, is stolen from police headquarters. Now, they have 72 hours to reclaim the heroin before the Internal Affairs Division gets involved. This puts Mike and Marcus hot on the trail of a French drug kingpin named Fouchet. Mike asks Maxine Logan, a hooker he knows, to keep an eye open for high rollers. Later, she gets a call from a guy who's high on drugs and wants to spend $2000. Maxine asks her best friend Julie Mott to tag along with her to the home of former cop Eddie Dominguez. Julie is not a hooker but the guy's so out of it that they'll be out of there with the money in just minutes. But at Dominguez's house, Fouchet kills Maxine. Julie witnessed the murder, so she contacts the police. But Julie, who doesn't know what Mike looks like, is willing to talk only to Mike. Mike is not around, so Marcus is forced to pretend to be Mike, and when Mike returns, he's forced to pretend to be Marcus. Marcus is a family man who has a wife named Theresa and three kids named James, Megan, and Quincy, while Mike is not, so this is not a very close fit. Mike and Marcus's pursuit of Fouchet kicks into overdrive when Fouchet's henchmen kidnap Julie right out from under their noses.

Most of you have already read the plot or even the movie, since it was launched back in 1995.What I want to write about is that everyone keeps dissing such movies because they have many discrepancies, but that's why people love them.Let's be honest, the main reason Bruckheimer made the movie is that two black funny actors put in such a situation would bring in crowds to the cinema and so, be a box-office hit, which it was. Every freaking critic alive says that these are mindless copies, but still people go to watch them.Most people live ordinary lives, go to work, get home, talk to the wife, eat some dinner and go to sleep, they want to be entertained my not complicated flicks suchDie Hard, Bad Company and Bad Boys.They do not present the kind of mind boggling actionsome of M.Night what's his name, they just need the adrenaline, the rush of blood to the head while seeing Martin Lawrence driving a Porsche at 150 mph toward a brick wall.It's what works in Hollywood, it's what brings the money and that's all that matters.
Wow, this had a great beginning. The opening credits scene wasgoodthe best of the James Bond flicks. Those overhead shots of Miami at night were awesome, too. Unfortunately, a few minutes after that great opening, the movie starts to go downhill and then accelerates most of the rest of the way.<br/><br/>The two leads, played by Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, spend most of the film yelling at each other. That's entertaining? No. The action scenes are very good, but these stupid characters are just annoying and wear thin very fast<br/><br/>In this end, all this is, is another overly loud, stupid buddy movie with ridiculous profanity, and a very predictable script which includes an easy-to-guess ending. I am a guy, and I love crime movies and a good action flick….but this is just mindless machismo, led by one of the worst examples of that in the history of Hollywood: Mr. Smith.<br/><br/>Why does Smith always have to prove to every audience that he is the coolest, hippest, meanest, nastiest dude on the planet? Is he that insecure? The same, to a lesser extent, goes to Lawrence and to producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Michael Bay, who never any object that wasn't worth blowing up on screen.
With more sophisticated writing, one suspects they could really soar: Even here, slowed by clunky, character-establishing lines and an all-devouring plot, they hit more often than they miss.
